How I work

Four habits that show up in my projects, each with the project where you can see it.

  1. 01

Start from requirements and compare concepts

In the teach-in station project the team wrote a requirements list and a functional analysis, developed six concepts, and compared them with a morphological box, pairwise comparison and a weighted evaluation before modelling in CATIA V5.

  2. 02

Document findings so others can review them

In vehicle integration at BMW I documented contact-point findings in annotated presentations with cross-sections and measurements, and reviewed them with senior engineers.

  3. 03

Say what was virtual, and what was not tested

The CNC process planning in Siemens NX CAM was virtual only; physical machining trials were not conducted. The condition-monitoring prototype was tested on a healthy machine only, and real-fault detection was not demonstrated. Each project page states its limits.

  4. 04

Learn the tool the problem needs

I learned Siemens NX CAM and OPC UA during my Master's project and thesis, and built the working prototype around them.
